May through September many nesting sea turtles travel to Florida's Coast to feed and nest, or lay eggs.

How can I describe Fort Myers Beach? One word: AWESOME!
The island is beautiful year round, the people are very friendly, the beaches gorgeous (7-miles), and to top it off….it doesn’t take a lot of money to vacation here.map

Fort Myers Beach proper stretches 7-miles, but for me it begins at Junkanoo Bar & Restaurant some 3-4 miles south of Beach Headquarters "The Lana Kai Island Resort and ends a stones throw north of the Lana Kai at Fort Myers Beach Boardwalk.

Most Fort Myers beaches provide food concessions, rest rooms, beach rentals and parking. The Beach is a 7 mile beach community devoted to sun and fun rain or shine. It's a visitor attitude of good cheer, family fun and enjoying yourself on vacation. Mix that with the locals who live here and becomes a great place to be.

Ft Myers Beach is famous also for night fishing underneath the Ft Myers bridge a short distance from the largest Southwest Florida Shrimp Fleet and the boardwalk. Bait, beverage, Dunkin Donuts are across the bridge for all your fishing needs.

Key West Sea Express We will never drive to the Keys again. The Key West Express is the only way to go.

Fort Myers Beach is a active, young, fast pace and live music beach community. You can't hike or bicycle around here. Okay you could but car traffic would make this activity dangerous. There's no Eco-touring here. There are no mangrove forest, tidal basin, or estuaries. I've never seen anyone shorefish here but you will see many boats anchored 50 feet off the beach.

Many Cruisers enjoying the water, sun and excitement and never leave their boats. Others like me anchor, have a swim and head toward the Tiki Bars for a cold beverage.

Destination Fort Myers Beach has live entertainment, beach foods, the boardwalk, beach bars and serious dining.Does your beach have Barmaids serving your drinks at your cabana/blanket? Happy hour on the beach, there's nothing like it. They take credit cards too.Time out for Ray and Jackie at Pete's Time Out On the boardwalk

GET THE BURGER!I have had hamburgers all over the world and the hamburgers here are in the top 10 I have ever had! The beer was cheap, the fries were a bit greasy but still good, and the burgers were GREAT! . Even the ketchup and mustard were put on the way I like it. The prices were fair enough too- what's not to like?

Fort Myers Beach Boardwalk is crammed with T-Shirt shops, souvenirs shops, Cafes local style, pizza, hot dogs, burgers and other typical boardwalk fare. Always jamming with visitors and locals having a good time.Hey Ray, I like that hat.

Ray and Jackie Shopping, Yes shopping for hats at the Beach I often come by boat to enjoy what Fort Myers Beach and Lana Kai has to offer. Tiki Bars, they got three on the beach in the sand, live entertainment and the sun and sand.

They have 2 roof Top Restaurants and there own Boardwalk complete with a Deli, Snack Bar, Pizza. They have a playground for kids and variety of shops. Fort Myers Beach offers a large list of things to do during your stay here and provides all ages with plenty to ensure that your time here is extremely enjoyable.

While you are staying on Fort Myers Beach, you will find that there is such a large list of activities and attractions to keep you busy. If you are the more active type, Fort Myers Beach has several waverunner and jet ski rentals available, along with boat rentals   fishing charters    parasailing

If you are looking to relax it a little more and stay on dry land, there are some beautiful restaurants on Fort Myers Beachto enjoy the dining experience overlooking the Estero Bay or the Gulf of Mexico coastline. There is also the movie theatre, bowling alleys, marinas, casino boats, and the general beauty of the area to fill up your schedule while youare on Fort Myers Beach with us

This is Bonita Dog Park, on the north shore of New Pass, where dogs are allowed off-leash. The beach is actually a sandbar surrounded by water on three sides, and the entire park encompasses five acres between Bonita Beach and Fort Myers Beach. Dogs and their people walk down a path through the mangroves that opens out to a wide stretch of sand, with views of the Gulf and Lovers Key Park.

One of the best places in Southwest Florida Bonita Beach to catch the sunset. The same shell bits that make barefoot strollers wish they had flip flops almost glow at sunset, mimicking the pastel pink and salmon hues cast upon the Gulf of Mexico nearly every evening. Doc's Beach House is a popular eatery. The county-run park at the south end of the beach offers showers, picnic areas and grills.

Watch out in May to October if you like to walk the beach in the swallows. If you do you must learn the "The Shuffle".
