User Friendly Guidelines For Women

Also a range of womens golf equipment available for golfer's of various skill levels, back in the 70's, less than a handful of golf equipment companies supplied satisfactory clubs that were especially made for women golfers.

These so called clubs for women were nothing more than regular clubs, which are copies of mens' clubs, but with different colors and designs. At the time they really did not differ much in terms of size and fitting differences.

It wasn't until the early 80's, along with the increasing popularity of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), that a few of these manufacturing companies started to take a closer look at the growing numbers of women getting into the game of golf.

Golf equipment companies now understand the different needs of women golfers. The clubs are smaller and have shorter shafts and smaller club heads. By having the right size of clubs, it is easier for women to maintain control of the club head, therefore getting more precise shots. If clothing is sold, an adequate selection of womens golf clothing in a variety of styles and sizes. This cliché dress code that you see many golfers adhering to is not literally a requirement in order to play golf. Many courses have a very relaxed dress code for their players, while most private courses (and some public) do specify some sort of requirement for it's member's attire.

The course itself will be well thought out with womens tees placed at a distance of about 5500 meters for the course.

Carries from the forward tees limited to 50 yards or less for the majority of holes e.g water carry's.

Handicap conversion tables for women available in an obvious and easily accessible area.

Distance markers inside 100 yards marked on sprinkler heads.

Facilities relatively equal for men and women, including tee boxes maintained in equal condition and with similar basic amenities (like ball washers and trash cans).

Clean pleasant restrooms at least every six holes on the course.

Access for women to any area of the facility except men’s locker rooms.
